Mentoring Program

Providing more than just education, we’re building passion

The Mission:MathMinds Mentoring Program is a unique, hand-crafted program focused on application and project-based math where girls are exposed to high-level female leaders.

Upcoming Workshops (More coming VERY soon!)

Past Workshops

Watch countless inspiring female STEM stories.

Our Mentoring Program is an incredible opportunity for girls in elementary, middle, and high school whether it be as a mentor or mentee because there's learning throughout. Our mentoring is completely different from traditional tutoring – we’re focused on application based learning changing girls’ perception of math first to yield more passion in engineering, technology, and science fields for the future.

Values

  • Concepts

Our mentors are passionate and well-versed in topics of METS, especially in the topic the workshop they are leading is focused on.

  • Empowerment

Our program emphasizes face-to-face conversations, through our FemaleRoleModels Initiative, where female leaders sharing their stories increase girls’ ability to relate to and talk about their future in METS.

  • Challenge

Students are presented with real-world issues desperately in need of innovative and unique solutions. Using problem-solving skills, girls are required to think far beyond the typical to come up with creative, functional, and successful, METS-based solutions – similar to what would be faced in a METS field.

  • Application

Integrating different METS concepts requires mature mathematical thinking as math is the foundation of METS to create viable solutions to make progress in today’s society. Students will be taught to apply METS beyond the computational level.
